Eminent personalities are now gathered at the Conference Hall of the
presidential villa, Abuja to witness the posthumous investiture of Chief
MKO Abiola, the presumed winner of the 1993 presidential election, with
a national honour.
Also being honoured by President Muhammadu Buhari are noted persons
associated with the June 12 struggle including late Chief Gani
Fawehinmi.
Their family members are among the hundreds of people already
gathered for the epoch making event which has persons from all walks of
life in attendance.
Abiola is being honoured with the highest National award of the Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR).
