The Joint Admission and Matriculation Exam simply refer to as JAMB, is an exam prospective University Students in Nigeria have to pass to get into the University. A pass means meeting the cut off mark, this is because candidates far outnumber available places. It is an exam many have to write several times to achieve their dream of obtain a university Degree, it could be a very frustrating experience. Many have had their dreams dashed due to their inability to meet the 'cut off mark'. Many years ago, in one of my attempts, my centre for the exam was the University of Benin, Ugbowo Campus and as I was waiting for the exam papers to be distributed, I looked at the desk, and scribbled on it (most likely by a student) were there words that that have remained etched on my mind:
"To love is to know, to hate is to ignore, yet ignorance is the prelude to knowing".
These memorable words is the quote of the day.
I wonder what was going through the mind of the person as he or she scribbled these words.
