I’m in charge of presidency, not my nephew, Daura – Buhari
Following the news that President Muhammadu Buhari’s nephew, Alhaji Mamman Daura, is a major power player in the Buhari-led government, the President has stressed that he, not Daura, is in charge of the Presidency.
It would be recalled that Daura, who organizes Buhari’s speeches, whether on the economy, education or terrorism, has recently been accused of plagiarism.
He was said to have plagiarized a major speech delivered by the Nigerian leader in which the words of United States president, Barack Obama were inserted.
Buhari has however, described as mere speculation, the reports that Daura was the one ruling the country as the ‘true’ president, he was acting, insisting he is in charge.
He made this known in an interview with Osasu Igbinedion on ‘The Osasu Show’.
Buhari stressed that there can only be one head of a country, saying “I’m in charge, I don’t know where they get their news from.
“I stood for the election, I visited every Local Government in Nigeria, I travelled by road, by air, and so on, and we had one of the most credible election.
So whoever feels he has lost somehow is his own problem, I have no problem,” he stated.
