Disturbed by the activities of Boko Haram Islamic sect that have
even claimed lives of top military officers of the country, Chief
Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu says he has advanced plans to see President
Muhammadu Buhari and made his Contributions on how best to checkmate
these insurgents.
Iwuanyanwu who is an elder statesman and an intelligent officer of
the defunct Biafra Army said this on Thursday in his Glass House Office
at Ugwu – Orji, Owerri while interacting with some media Executives in
Imo State on the State of nation.
According to the man popularly known as Ahaejiagamba “I need to see
President Buhari and talk to him on the way best to handle the Boko
Haram issue, I don’t know what they want and nobody knows what they
want. The Nigerian Military cannot win the war against these terrorists
because they are good at infantry while the Boko Harams are trained to
fight and die, they seem to have superior advantage when it comes to
gorilla and terrorism war fares”.
He attributed the nation’s current economic recession to the
activities of the insurgents noting that they have aided so much in
deflating the nation’s foreign reserve.
Iwuanyanwu challenged the nation’s military intelligence “to
ascertain their sources of funding, acquiring sophisticated war
equipment and how they get their feeding. If all these are known,
strangulating them is so easy” he assured.
The astute politician further enjoined the President to call
meeting of the leaders and principal stakeholders of the country for
them to proffer a lasting solution to the insurgents reiterating that
the military alone cannot win the war against the insurgents.
